All roles in the partnership support team make a vital contribution to the way Oxfordshire will develop in terms of people, place, environment, and economy over the coming years. To achieve our visions and ambitions, we need to develop our partnerships as we know we can achieve so much more together. We are looking for people who share our aspirations and are committed to working in partnership with others who have different perspectives.
Are you looking for an exciting and varied Maternity Cover role where you will support the decision makers who are shaping the future for the people of Oxfordshire? You will be working with a small and dynamic team right in the heart of decision making and collaboration across a broad spectrum of organisations representing a wide range of interests. You will be supported in developing your experience and knowledge to further your career.
Do you have experience in administration? Are you ICT literate? Do you have experience and understanding of partnership work and public sector decision-making processes? Can you work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail? Can you stay politically neutral in a political environment?
If you answered yes to the questions above, then you should apply for this opportunity to work for the Oxfordshire Partnerships (based at South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils) where you will be:
* Helping to prepare agendas, taking minutes, providing advice on procedural matters, and ensuring that follow-up action is taken.
* Attending meetings of councillor and officer-led groups, during and outside normal office hours.
* Providing high-level administrative support.
* Organising meetings between a range of partners, which may be complex and require careful negotiation. These may be in person, virtual, or hybrid, and assisting with the technology for these meetings.
* Helping the team to come up with new ideas for achieving more efficient and improved ways of working.
* Ensuring that any reports submitted by officers comply with legislative requirements and the Oxfordshire Partnerships standards.
* Assisting the manager in dealing with complaints and FOIs.
