Job Title: Assistant Accountant - Rewards Reconciliations

With a client list full of big-name brands, they make sure customers get their well-earned rewards on time and without a hitch. But with great rewards come great responsibilities (and lots of numbers to keep track of!), which is where you come in.
The Role
They are on the hunt for a super-organized, detail-obsessed Assistant Accountant to join the finance team, with a laser focus on reconciliations. Think of yourself as the glue that holds the numbers together - making sure every penny is where it should be, every invoice is spot-on, and every reward payment is accounted for.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Match, check, and double-check client funding accounts, ensuring everything is recorded perfectly.
* Keep a watchful eye on escrow balances, making sure the money is exactly where it needs to be before payments go out.
* Solve financial mysteries - investigate discrepancies like a detective with a calculator.
* Track and reconcile voucher and stock-based rewards (because no one wants to promise a reward that’s not there!).
* Wrap things up neatly at the end of each promotion - either refunding excess funds or sending that final invoice.
Keeping the Cash Flowing
* Raise invoices for reward funding (and chase up payments when needed—politely but firmly!).
* Record and allocate incoming funds with precision - no missing pennies on your watch.
* Work with credit control to make sure clients pay up on time.
Teamwork & Transformation
* Join forces with Customer Services, keeping them updated on funding and reconciliations.
* Get stuck into the Rewards transformation project, helping to improve processes and make finance slicker, faster, and more fabulous.
* Support the finance team during annual audits, answering queries like a pro.
What We’re Looking For
* A reconciliation whizz with at least 3 years of accounting experience, ideally in a project-based business.
* A detail-obsessed number cruncher who loves a good spreadsheet.
* Excel skills? Essential. Power BI? A lovely bonus!
* A natural problem solver who spots financial oddities a mile off.
* A strong communicator who can chat finance without making people’s eyes glaze over.
* Someone happy working solo but also a great team player.
* Studying towards CIMA or ACCA? Even better!
* Able to be in the Hammersmith WeWork office at least 3 days a week (because let’s be honest, coffee tastes better in good company).
