Job summary Exciting new opportunity for a part time specialist Occupational Therapist (0.64 WTE 24 hrs per week Band 6) to join our Community Rehabilitation Team based at Newquay Hospital and Trevissome Park. The service provides specialist assessment and rehabilitation for patients with a wide variety of conditions, in their own home. This friendly, enthusiastic and dynamic team are made up of physiotherapists, Band 4 technicians and Occupational Therapists. You will be supported by senior clinicians who will give support, joint working, regular supervision, appraisal, in-service training programme and a real commitment to professional development for you to reach your full potential.The ideal candidate will have experience of working with a range of patients in different settings and have experience, excellent communication skills, team working, time management, and a flexible approach. Duties will include completing specialist assessments, prescribing equipment, formulating, and implementing rehabilitation programmes, supporting patient self-management, education and support of carers, wider health, social care and voluntary services involved in patient care.
