Location: Office Base is London, Television Centre. This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working.

About Our Presentation Team
The Presentation team is made up of 11 Presentation & Media Planners based in the UK, Netherlands, and Poland, centrally line-managed by an On Air Planning Manager. We work on channels transmitting in regions including the Nordics, Benelux, South Africa, Middle East, and CEE. We collaborate closely with a UK based Media Planning team and locally based Programming teams.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the On Air Planning Manager, the role is responsible for co-ordinating, managing and timing the relevant components of the presentation schedule, delivering fully transmittable TV schedules ensuring they are accurate for transmission.
Responsibilities
1. End-to-end responsibility for the presentation schedules, delivering highly accurate and fully transmittable playlists to the external Playout provider. Working within a portfolio of BBC branded TV channels broadcasting in territories including South Africa and the Middle East.
2. Support other members of the Presentation team to help prepare presentation schedules for their channels.
3. Liaise closely with the Programming Team to create the monthly schedule. Ensure programmes are scheduled according to their published transmission time, all relevant channel branding is scheduled, and promotional and commercial airtime is optimised.
4. Manage schedule amendments, including last-minute changes.
5. Responsible for accurate entry of all promotions and versions into a central database.
6. Ensure schedules are optimised for commercial minutage and liaise with external commercial sales houses.
7. Work with the Media Planning team to accurately deliver media plans containing promotions, continuity and on-screen graphics to maximise effectiveness of campaigns.
8. Liaise with all internal and external data & media suppliers, including commercial sales houses.
9. Occasionally provide out-of-hours cover for all linear channels.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE?
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
1. Previous presentation scheduling experience working on commercial channels using Phoenix 7 (formerly known as Zeus) scheduling system.
2. Awareness of the BBC portfolio of channel brands including BBC First, BBC Lifestyle, BBC Brit, CBeebies and BBC Earth.
3. Independent problem-solving skills, with the ability to undertake workload with minimal supervision.
4. Strong data management and attention to detail.
5. Strong organisational skills.
