Strensham Services (M5) - Operations Manager
Working within the Operations Team the role is responsible and accountable for supporting Kirk, our Site Director in the delivery of an efficient and profitable operation of all aspects of Strensham Service Area, maximising sales/profit and improving site and brand performance, through the teams by leading from the front, creating commitment and communicating effectively. As an Operations Manager you will also have direct Line Management accountability for a specific brands within Service Area.As an Operations Manager you will ensure a constant drive for results through a positive, dedicated approach to change and make business improvements through the ability to make speedy and sound business decisions that follow a planned approach, use the strengths of the management team and have the full support of the Site Director.
Your main areas of responsiblity wil be
* Customer Focus - Provide a quality service to customers and build customer loyalty within the site by ensuring each unit meets all company requirements of customer service standards.
* Operational Delivery - Support the Site Director in the achievement of Company operational targets across the whole site and to achieve / exceed Company operational targets within any brands for which there is direct accountability.
* Profit Delivery - Support the management teams to achieve / exceed gross profit margins ensuring they are within tolerance of theoretical profit target and to achieve / exceed margins across the whole site and within any brand for which there is direct accountability.
You will need to have:
Proven experience of delivering operational excellence and managing teams in either multi-unit or multi-site customer facing businesses (preferably catering, hospitality or retail).Experience of and accountability for delivering business P&L financial targets.Team orientated and the ability to successfully work with others at different levels. Well organised, excellent at prioritising and managing time.Be able to work within a structured environment with a focus on the detail. Proven experience motivating, managing and maximising the performance of teams, including managing line managers.Ability to work on own initiative, setting standards for others and measuring performance.Proven experience in delivery of training and coaching activities to develop employee skills.
