Job Title: Driver/Warehouse Operative Reporting To: Fleet Coordinator Hours: 40 hours a week, 08:00 to 17:00 Mon-Fri (1hr unpaid lunch break daily). These may vary according to business requirements. The job in a nutshell Berry Bros & Rudd are seeking a new member to join our growing Driver team. This individual will be a team player; someone who is customer focused and dedicated to delivering customer excellence, and someone who will represent our business with pride and integrity. This driver opportunity is based on our Basingstoke site. This role will be predominantly London based deliveries however other counties and areas will need to be covered to provide support when required. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all deliveries are carried out safely, timely and professionally to our customers on an assigned driving route. Who you will work with. Internal: You’ll build strong relationship with our Despatch, Warehouse & Customer Service teams External: Established & new customers What you will do You will be required to carry out multi drop deliveries of fine wines and spirits during your workday. Demonstrate the highest level of professional driver and customer service standards, interacting with our customers and keeping with the Berry Bros. & Rudd brand. Conduct daily/weekly/monthly vehicle inspections. Load/unload goods at customer addresses and adhering to specific delivery information (or requests) made by our customers. Obtain delivery confirmation from each delivery point using our selected POD automated system (training will be provided). Carry out basic vehicle user maintenance checks. You will be required to always keep your vehicle in a clean and presentable condition. Ensure that all working practices comply with Health and Safety legislation. What you will bring to the role Experience / Achievements Essential: Proven and demonstrable knowledge of driving in London city and home counties. Valid Cat C Driving Licence. Clean driving licence (no more than 3 points). Desirable: Previous experience of handling fine wines and spirits would be an advantage. 3 years of demonstrable driving experience in a dynamic and high-performing environment.
