Job Responsibilities
* Monitoring and inspecting equipment, following a checklist to carry out planned preventative maintenance, and ensuring equipment, generators, and telemetry are operating correctly.
* Reporting any defective equipment to ensure swift resolution following breakdowns.
* Highlighting and resolving health and safety risks on site where possible.
* Taking ownership of health and safety concerns, escalating issues to management, and resolving them when feasible.
* Ensuring the work area is safe before starting work by conducting a point-of-work risk assessment using a PDA device.
* Maintaining awareness of the budget and understanding how unplanned events (e.g., tanker/plant/pump hire) can impact it.
* Working at other sites to cover holiday, sickness, or additional workload, coordinating with planning and scheduling teams.
* Using a PDA device to record completed work orders.
* Attending team meetings, safety briefings, and company communications, raising issues, and providing constructive feedback with suggestions for improvement.
Candidate Requirements
* A self-motivated individual capable of integrating into a team, disciplined with a desire to learn, and possessing a positive attitude. The role can be demanding but rewarding.
* Responsiveness to faults, curiosity to understand issues, and ability to identify effective solutions promptly.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team interaction.
* Strong teamwork ethic, sharing common goals.
* Experience diagnosing basic mechanical and instrumentation issues is desirable but not essential.
* Proactive approach to recommending improvements and communicating effectively.
* Willingness to undergo safety training.
* Knowledge of health and safety standards.
* A full UK driving license is essential due to role requirements.
