Due to growth, a well-established business in the Boroughbridge area is recruiting for a Finance Manager. You will report to their Group Head and work alongside their Group Management Accountant.
Duties:
1. Work closely with the finance team to provide support, mentoring, training, and long-term development.
2. Provide support to the team for complex queries relating to payroll, payments, cash book, and journals.
3. Review financial controls and identify and implement operational efficiencies.
4. Manage all aspects of financial accounting to trial balance and assist with preparing accruals and prepayments.
5. Prepare VAT data for MTD and PAYE reconciliations.
Requirements:
1. Experience of working as a finance professional in a complex organisation.
2. Experience of managing a team.
3. Good working knowledge of MS Office packages including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
4. Excellent communication skills to influence decision making.
5. Ability to analyse and interpret management information to identify key patterns and trends.
6. Experience with Pegasus Opera 3 (Payroll & Accounts Package) is beneficial; training can be provided.
7. Accountancy qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA/ACA) or qualified by experience.
This is a full-time permanent office-based position. Their offices are easily accessible from the North and South due to their proximity to the A1.
