The Treasury Analyst is responsible for overseeing the administration and maintenance of the company’s extensive banking infrastructure, which includes over 100+ bank accounts across multiple legal entities. This role ensures compliance with treasury controls, manages banking relationships, and supports treasury compliance and control initiatives. Experience with foreign currency accounts is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Bank Account Administration
Oversee the opening, closing, and maintenance of 100+ bank accounts across various legal entities.
Manage bank mandates, including the preparation, updating, and maintenance of authorized signatory lists and mandate structures.
Ensure accurate records for all accounts, including authorized signatories, mandates, and banking documentation.
Streamline bank accounts to optimize liquidity and reduce costs.
Maintain compliance with banking regulations and internal policies, ensuring alignment with SRA rules (if applicable).
Bank Systems Administration
Manage user access, controls, and permissions across 10+ multiple banking platforms (e.g., Barclays iPortal, Barclays.net, Virgin Money, Santander).
Provide user support and training for banking systems, ensuring smooth operation and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Maintain and update treasury documentation and processes, ensuring data accuracy and security.
Conduct regular audits of system access and banking documentation to ensure compliance with internal controls.
Banking Relationship Management
Act as the primary liaison with banking partners, managing service levels, fees, and negotiations to optimize service delivery and costs.
Manage banking relationships, including coordinating with banks for account setups, closures, and ongoing maintenance.
Resolve banking-related issues and escalate as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
Treasury Compliance and Controls
Ensure all treasury operations comply with company policies, banking regulations, and legal requirements, maintaining a full audit trail.
Implement robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks, fraud, and unauthorized transactions.
Conduct periodic reviews of treasury processes and recommend best practice improvements.
Support and coordinate treasury compliance and controls, ensuring adherence to banking and regulatory frameworks.
Foreign Currency & Client Accounts Management (Desirable)
Experience in managing foreign currency accounts and handling multi-currency transactions is desirable.
Monitor foreign exchange exposures and assist in implementing risk mitigation strategies.
Prior experience with client accounts in a law firm setting is a strong advantage.
Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in a treasury or finance role, with a focus on bank account administration, mandate management, and user support.
Strong experience in managing banking relationships, including negotiating terms, resolving issues, and coordinating account setups and closures.
Proven ability to manage bank mandates, including maintaining authorized signatory lists and ensuring compliance with bank rules.
Experience working for a law firm or a company with client accounts is an advantage.
A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for treasury reporting and documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage both internal stakeholders and external banking relationships.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with foreign currency accounts is desirable.
