We are currently seeking a 1st Line Support Technician for a growing IT consultancy, dedicated to providing bespoke IT solutions to businesses of all sizes. You will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing essential technical support and troubleshooting. This is a key role in ensuring our clients receive the highest level of service, resolving issues efficiently and escalating them when necessary. You will be part of a collaborative and supportive team that values continuous learning and development.
As a 1st Line Technician, you will be tasked with the following:
* Provide first-line technical support to clients via phone, email, and remote assistance.
* Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, escalating more complex problems to 2nd or 3rd line support as required.
* Manage and prioritize support requests, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining accurate records of issues and solutions.
* Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
* Monitor and maintain client systems and networks, ensuring optimal performance and security.
* Collaborate with the wider IT team to develop and implement IT policies and best practices.
* Stay updated with the latest technology trends and advancements to provide informed support and advice.
Key things were looking for from our 1st Line Technician :
* Previous experience in a 1st line support role or similar IT support position.
* Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, and basic networking concepts.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in non-technical terms.
* A customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
* Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
* Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are desirable but not essential.
