St Anne's School and Sixth Form are looking for a Clerical Assistant to join our committed and dedicated front of house Office Administration team to work in our School and Residence in Hessle.
As a school for students with severe learning difficulties and complex needs, you will be working with our small team delivering a high-quality administration service with a particular emphasis on developing and maintaining our website and parent-carer communications.
Generally, responsibilities include:
* being the first point of contact, for all enquiries by telephone and in person from visitors, staff and pupils
* undertaking reception duties
* operating the phone, taking messages, answering and responding to all queries
* preparing documents utilising Microsoft Office and updating bespoke IT systems
* maintaining records both manually and electronically
* receiving, unpacking and recording delivery of orders
* organising and scheduling internal and external meetings as required to include inviting professionals and monitoring associated paperwork
You will:
* Good standard of education including GCSE maths and English at level 4 (or equivalent)
* have previous experience of working in an office environment
* be IT literate with the ability to utilise Microsoft Office, (particularly Word and Excel) and bespoke IT systems
* be able to use your own initiative and have the ability to multi-task
* remain calm and professional under pressure
* be a good communicator and able to build good relationships with staff, pupils and visitors
* be committed to providing a high quality service

Hours of work are: 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday - Thursday and 8.30am - 4pm Friday. Term time only plus 5 training days and 5 days over the holidays.
