Salary: 35,000 - 65,000 GBP per year Requirements:
* Proven experience in an IT Asset Management role.
* Experience working in a Defence environment, with an understanding of Defence policies related to asset management.
* Strong understanding of software licensing models and compliance requirements.
* Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) and procurement processes.
* Demonstrated experience in conducting IT asset audits and compliance assessments.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
* High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives within IT asset management.
Responsibilities:
* Manage licensing agreements, ensuring compliance with software licensing terms and agreements.
* Proactively identify and implement strategies to mitigate security and compliance risks.
* Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of software assets, licenses, and entitlements.
* Monitor the lifecycle of IT assets, ensuring timely identification of obsolete software.
* Conduct regular audits to assess software compliance and mitigate risks related to unlicensed software usage.
* Collaborate with IT, procurement, and finance teams to optimise software investments and licensing costs.
* Ensure adherence to Defence policies and industry best practices in IT asset management.
* Provide recommendations on asset procurement, renewal, and retirement based on business needs and compliance requirements.
* Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment between asset management practices and organisational goals.
