The team
Fieldfisher houses one of the UK's leading Personal Injury and Medical Negligence departments.
The Team is split up into 4 market leading practices; Medical Negligence, Serious Injury, Industrial Disease and Court of Protection. An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious solicitor (SRA or Cilex) to work alongside one of our partners specialising in serious injury claims.
The focus for each solicitor who joins the team is to build his or her own reputation and knowledge. From the start, you will be working on high value cases with a senior member of the team. A keen interest in Business Development is also a requirement for this role.
Responsibilities
1. Proactively manage own files and support the partners
2. Preparing thorough documentation required in the preparation of cases to trial
3. Liaising with counsel/experts
4. Liaising with clients and handling matters with the appropriate sensitivity
Key Skills & Experience
1. Qualified lawyer with strong relevant UK claimant experience
2. Should be able to demonstrate experience in and have a keen interest in marketing
3. An ability to build relationships with the client, family, witnesses, counsel and experts
4. Enthusiastic team player with commitment to quality and client care
5. Good case management skills
6. Strong academics is essential
7. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a real commitment and empathetic approach to Claimants.
