Sustainability Advisor
Contract term: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours over 5 days
Location: ACT Head Office, Ocean Park House, Cardiff
Salary: £31,334 rising to £33,979 per annum

What you’ll do:
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual who has experience of managing and monitoring an Environmental Management System.
You will be required to lead on the measurement of our environmental impact including energy, waste and transport and work with our environmental champions in each of our training centres to implement schemes to reduce our environmental impact and promote sustainability. You will also be required to deliver sustainability and environmental related training to staff and learners as well as contributing towards the development of sustainability qualifications.
You will offer advice and guidance to leaders, managers, staff and learners to ensure environmental compliance across ACT/ALS and our partners.
A full driving licence is essential.
The role is fits within the Facilities Team reporting to the Facilities Manager.
ACT is committed to promoting the Welsh language for both staff and learners, and whilst it is not considered essential criteria, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role.
What we need from you:
At least 3 years’ experience in an environmental/sustainability role within a busy organisation
IEMA qualification and at least associate membership of IEMA
Experience of managing and monitoring an EMS and other associated environmental systems
Experience of ISO14001 accreditation
Experience of resource monitoring (energy, waste, transport)
Knowledge of environment legislation
Excellent IT skills
Team player with ability to work on own initiative
Full UK Driving License
