We are seeking a highly organised and professional School Office Manager with Exam Officer responsibilities to join our dedicated team at our brand new school, Acer Academy opening in 2025. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operation of the school office and providing vital administrative support to staff, students, and parents. Acer Academy is a new special school for pupils aged 11-16 years who have a diagnosis of Autism/SEMH; we are part of Kings Academy Trust. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum for all pupils with cutting-edge facilities in a nurturing environment.
Key responsibilities:
* Overseeing the day-to-day management of the school office, including reception duties, telephone handling, and managing visitor access.
* Providing administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team and Governing Body.
* Managing student registration, enrolment, and general student data.
* Handling school finances, including managing budgets, processing invoices, and issuing payments.
* Managing student records, attendance data, and other relevant school documents.
* Providing HR support to the school, including managing recruitment processes and staff records.
* Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection regulations.
* Maintaining a high standard of customer service, including responding to parent inquiries and liaising with external partners.
* Exam Officer responsibilities for overseeing the entry and administration of examinations across the school.
Skills and experience:
* Proven experience in a similar office management role, ideally within a school setting.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in using relevant software and IT systems.
* Experience with HR and recruitment processes.
* Ability to manage budgets and financial records.
* Strong customer service skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations.
