Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: North Cornwall
Salary: 30,000 to 40,000 DOE + Holidays + Bank Holidays + Pension + Time off in Lieu for extra hours worked + Onsite Parking
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:30 with 1 hour unpaid lunch break.

Mechanical Design Engineer required for an established company offering a progressive opportunity. They have considerable investment plans for significant growth and are market leaders for innovation within their niche industry.
The role would suit Design Engineers with experience in manufacturing environments. The successful design engineer must have experience with both 2D and 3D design software; SolidWorks experience is ideal!
This is a design for mass manufacture role. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to liaise with team members and other internal departments, as well as dealing with suppliers and customers as required. The products manufactured utilize a range of sheet metals which will be hard machined, pressed, and assembled. Anyone with furniture design and manufacture experience is highly encouraged to apply.
Based within a fast-paced design department, you will be responsible for new product developments, design improvements, and generating manufacturing drawings. This role will involve working closely with all teams internally, and confident communication skills will be needed.

Mechanical Design Engineer Candidate Requirements:
1. Mechanical Design Engineering background
2. Any knowledge of furniture design is advantageous but not required.
3. Must have experience with both 2D and 3D design; SolidWorks is ideal, but all transferable experience will be considered.
4. Willingness to work onsite Monday to Friday (not a remote working role)
