Holding a key role in our month end, reporting & forecasting activities, our Overheads Analyst role is a position in our Finance Team. Joining a team of 3, you will be immersed in both commercial and transactional finance, along with building your business partnering skills across the group! With a focus on continuous improvement, you will have the opportunity to look at any operational improvements you find, allowing you to craft your role!
This role is a 12 month fixed term contract
What your daily life will look like?
1. Lead financial planning and performance reporting and decision support for people costs and group overheads
2. Finance support for People, Facilities and Group leadership teams
3. Responsible for efficient and effective people OD and cost controls
4. Management accounting activity for all Opex
5. Work with people team to implement and operate payroll processes and controls
6. Overall responsibility for the overheads' forecast, analysis and reporting
7. Work closely with financial control team to ensure overheads accounting is accurate and well understood
8. Work closely with business to ensure all costs are accurately posted and forecasted at a vertical level
What do we need from you?
9. Confirmed experience leading month end / management accounting tasks for cost lines (Accruals, actualising forecast files, cost centre coding checks/corrections, workday approvals, commentary).
10. Shown success reviewing accruals and prepayments for assigned area – highlighting risks and opportunities where appropriate
11. Shown success in a business partnering role - working with & challenge cost centre managers/ key team members to provide a view of expected actuals and forecast, with clear view of any variances
12. Providing future insights into any potential opportunities/risks through interaction with the business
13. Confirmed experience leading on month end reporting, supporting monthly reporting production, validation and reviews
