We are seeking to appoint an outstanding temporary part-time SIMS and Data Manager based at Ysgol Glan-y-Mor School, to oversee and support the school’s data systems, with an immediate start. The post is to the 31st August 2025 and will be reviewed after this date.
This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role in our school until the end of this academic year. Reporting to a member of the leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the school’s data. The successful candidate will carry out regular data reporting and provide interpretation for others and will be required to oversee whole-school tracking and analysis of data, as well as support the School Leadership Team and teachers in their monitoring and evaluating of pupil progress. This vital role supports the school’s efforts to raise standards in teaching and learning and requires a flexible approach to working hours, as workload demands vary throughout the academic year.
This is an important and challenging role which involves close interaction with the Senior Leadership team. You must have a high standard of literacy, numeracy and communication skills, as well as excellent understanding of IT systems. Extensive experience and understanding of SIMS alongside other educational data packages would be highly advantageous. The role may offer the opportunity for some hybrid/remote working, through reasonable planning and negotiation, when tasks are appropriate.
Glan-y-Môr and Bryngwyn School are part of a Federation that strives to develop excellent standards and opportunities for all its pupils. In this context, the successful candidate would be expected to work collaboratively and closely with colleagues across the Federation and could be based in either school.
