We are looking to appoint an inspirational, innovative, and enthusiastic full-time Head of Geography.
You will be heading up a popular department which delivers both GCSE and A Level Geography following the AQA specification. Pupils study Geography within a balanced framework of physical and human themes and investigate the link between the themes studied.
The GCSE course content covers the following topics: Unit 1 - Living with the physical environment, Unit 2 - Challenges in the human environment and Unit 3 - Geographical applications. The successful applicant will combine a love of Geography with strong organisational and administrative skills as well as an ability to work and collaborate with others. They will also be the direct line manager for the part-time Teacher of Geography.
Heads of Department are line-managed by the Deputy Head (Academic) who will ensure a thorough and supportive induction to the role.
