Description
Work together with management team to supervise the night shift in a cost-efficient manner, ensure productivity and accuracy, ensure a safe work environment, and oversee the selecting and loading of all trucks.
Key Accountabilities
1. Monitor and calculate manpower for night operations
2. Print, organize, and distribute paperwork for selecting and loading of the trucks
3. Monitor shift productivity and adjust as needed to maintain goals
4. Print invoices and corresponding reports for the shift
5. Monitor breaks, two 15 minute breaks and 1 thirty minute lunch
6. Contribute to process improvements
7. Monitor accuracy of loads and minimize product breakage
8. Enforce all safety regulations and procedures of Quality Beverage, L.P.
9. Willingness to work overnight as well as other shifts. Weekends and holidays according to business needs
10. Replace any absences for drivers/helpers
11. Minimize lost time injuries by ensuring safe work methods are followed
12. Ensure the warehouse is clean and orderly every day
13. Assist with training and onboarding new employees
14. Crosstrain to be a backup for other members of the night management team
Requirements
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
1. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to lead by example.
2. Ability to work collaboratively with internal customers with a high comfort level for change
3. Solid interpersonal skills and team orientation
4. Technical and problem-solving skills
5. Demonstrated ability to develop a diverse group of employees
6. Ability to extract, evaluate and utilize data for process improvement from applicable systems
7. Experience leading and working within a union environment preferred
Education/Experience/Training:
1. Education (Minimum Needed): High School Diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred
2. Experience (Minimum Needed): Minimum 3-5 years of Supply Chain
3. Specialized Knowledge Needed for Performance of Job: Computer skills, knowledge of Word, and Excel. In-depth knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and knowledge of the conveyor system in an automated warehouse.
4. Special Skills: Skill in conflict resolution and negotiation
5. Other: Skill in effective, clear oral and written communications; Ability to lead, motivate and secure performance of staff positions in achieving key performance goals
