About the role
Background and details:
You will be field-based in the Southwest, reporting to the MDiG Office, involved in on-site installation of aftermarket MC and MG systems. Excellent communication skills are essential to provide top-tier customer service through regular communication with clients and the Head of Department. You will also support and train End User Customers and assist the sales team with technical backup for technology products.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Install aftermarket MC/MG systems, including responding promptly to requests and producing documentation post-installation.
* Assist with site localizations and base station setups as required.
* Provide on-site and point-of-sale training for aftermarket MC/MG systems.
* Train MKL personnel and end-users on Machine Control systems.
* Update CRM system with support call, installation, and asset details.
* Maintain close communication with customers and other departments to promote MDiG.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Experience working with heavy plant and machinery.
* Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams).
* GCSEs grades C or above.
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
* Good communication skills, self-motivated, and well-organized.
* Technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and proactive attitude.
* Install experience with aftermarket GPS machine systems (desirable).
* Experience with CRM systems (desirable).
* Knowledge of Trimble, Leica, and Topcon machine control workflows (desirable).
* Understanding of GNSS and GPS for earthworks and civil engineering (desirable).
