Our client are an international insurance firm, which involves risk management and consulting services. They are hiring a Facilities Assistant to join their already established facilities team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
As a facilities assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the smooth operations of the building. This will be from performing administrative tasks, daily maintenance and customer service due to this being a client-facing role.
Running access control for our UK estate - creating/cancelling access passes and management of the systems
Conduct routine inspections of the facilities to identify maintenance and repair needs
Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for repairs and maintenance services
Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies or urgent requests
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment - escalating issues where appropriate
Assist in maintaining records of maintenance activities, repairs, statutory documents
Running post rooms
Support the Facilities Manager in planning and executing facility improvement projects
Assist with general administrative/ad hoc tasks as needed

Ability to communicate effectively, both internally and externally
