Job description: Job title: Maintenance Operative Location : Lilleshall National Sports & Conferencing Centre, Shropshire, TF10 9AT Job type: Permanent Working Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday covering earlies, lates and occasional weekend work, overnight shift. To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit for a Maintenance Operative to join the centre. Lilleshall is one of Sport England`s National Sports Centres and is home to a number of National Governing Bodies of Sport. Lilleshall provides excellent facilities to Britain’s leading sports men and women. We are also a Conferencing and Event Centre, boasting a large number of recently refurbished rooms and outdoor spaces for weddings, corporate events, and team-building days. In this role you will be required to consistently provide on a pre-planned, ad-hoc, breakdown and reactive basis, a professional and effective maintenance, service and repair function which will include building service systems such as plumbing, life safety and security, heating, cooling, ventilation, cold water systems and building service system plant & ancillary equipment items such as mechanically operated, heat generating, hot water generating, chilled water, air handling, storage tanks and water movement plants. You will be required to provide the maintenance, service and repair function on both a hands-on and appointment & supervision of external sub-contractor’s basis and be required to provide a high level of hands on and supervisory technical support to the site-based operations and technical management teams. About you The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate relevant experience similar to this role and it’s desirable that you have worked in a similar size or larger more complex sporting or leisure facilities. You will have a background in maintenance with the role requiring a broad range of skills including, but not exclusively, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, or general maintenance skills.
