Hours: Full Time (35 hours per week), agile working (mainly 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday).
Job Purpose:
Do you have a qualified technical background that can be applied to managing a first-class repairs service in our housing stock? Do you have a background in managing contractors? Can you drive performance and manage budgets? Do you have good organisational and IT skills? Do you ensure our customer always comes first?
As the Maintenance Officer for Queens Cross Housing Association, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring that we provide a high-quality repairs service in our 4,400 properties. Social housing experience would be an advantage but it is not essential – we are looking for candidates that understand the importance of good customer service, contract management, and providing the best service possible whilst ensuring value for money.
You will:
* Assist in the organisation and management of the reactive repairs service
* Work closely with our contractor and customers to ensure excellent services
* Build relationships and influence decision-making to enhance service delivery
* Be comfortable implementing digital solutions and using software systems
* Have excellent communication skills to engage with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders
* Have a minimum of 3 years experience delivering a repairs and maintenance function in a customer service-focused environment
* Have experience in carrying out internal/external property inspections and assessing repair work required
