This includes both individual homes and shared spaces. The BSM will play a key role in managing building safety compliance, maintenance, and resident engagement to create secure and thriving communities. We offer a hybrid working model that empowers you to balance office and home working. Typically, you’ll spend 2-3 days per week in the office and the rest working remotely. During your training and probationary period, we may ask for more in-office time to provide the support you need to succeed. If you prefer more office presence, we’re happy to accommodate that too. What You’ll Be Doing: Managing the safety of buildings within your assigned portfolio, ensuring a coordinated approach to protect residents, staff, and other users. Leading on building safety compliance, including implementing and managing safety measures outlined in building safety cases and action plans. Overseeing all matters related to safety for our high-risk buildings (HRBs) over 18m or 7 storeys high. Acting as the primary contact for resident engagement at HRBs, ensuring concerns are recorded, monitored, and addressed effectively. Establishing and managing safe systems of work for responsive repairs and planned preventative maintenance at HRBs. What We’re Looking For: Strong knowledge of ACOPs and regulatory compliance for M&E building services, fire detection, fire risk assessments, and maintenance management. Proven experience managing compliance in the "Big 6" areas for residential and high-rise buildings. Expertise in implementing resident engagement strategies, with excellent communication skills to connect effectively with diverse communities. A recognised qualification in fire safety, health and safety, or construction (e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent in Fire Safety Management). Experience in establishing and managing mandatory occurrence reporting systems.
