Here at the Mick George Group, we are currently recruiting a Plant Operator/Labourer to join the team.
Location: Norfolk
Working Hours: Monday - Friday between 6am – 6pm, Occasional Saturday work. Overtime available.
Pay: Dependent on experience, plus bonus.

Main Responsibilities:
1. To operate plant and machinery to assist with the retrieval of minerals and profiling of ground to the required level.
2. To carry out daily/weekly maintenance checks of the mobile & fixed plant to the necessary standard.
3. To carry out the daily/weekly required maintenance tasks on the mobile & fixed plant, consisting of greasing and keeping the equipment clean.
4. To report any defects noted to site management/workshop using the R2C app.
5. Dispatching and controlling the quality of product.
6. To follow plant GPS to alter the ground to the required levels.
7. To carry out any other duties relating to the Quarry as requested by a supervisor/manager.
8. To accurately record working hours on timesheets and submit on a weekly basis.
9. To accurately log all production data, plant stoppages, breakdowns, and logs correctly.
10. To inform quarry management of any materials deemed unsuitable for production.
11. To understand company procedures in relation to breakdowns to act swiftly to minimise downtime.
12. To ensure any training requirements are highlighted to line management, especially for legislative minimum requirements.
13. Conduct themselves in a manner that does not endanger themselves or those around them.
14. Conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times as an ambassador of Mick George Group.
15. To maintain a good standard of site cleanliness to minimise potential hazards.
16. To regularly be in contact with site management.
Skills & Competencies
Essential:
* Relevant plant operator licences.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to be methodical and flexible in approach to tasks.
* A pro-active team member.
* Use of mobile phone apps.
Desirable:
* Basic computer literacy (use of emails, etc.).
