**To be successful as a Technical Product Owner, you will need the
following:**
* Strong experience in managing product roadmaps, backlogs, and prioritising features based on business needs. Ability to communicate technical requirements effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Proven experience working in Agile environments, including hands-on experience with Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
* Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to solve complex technical issues and make data-driven decisions. A deep understanding of Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) methodology.
* Experience creating API documentationspecifications using RAMLOAS, with a solid understanding of API design principles, security, and orchestration.
* Working knowledge of software applications, system architecture, data mapping, databases, backend technologies (e.g., Java, Spring), and UI technologies (e.g., React, Angular).
**Some other highly valued skills may include:**
* Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud to support cloud-based product infrastructure.
* Proficiency with data tools such as SQL, Google Analytics, or data visualisation platforms to make informed product decisions.
* Knowledge of CICD pipelines, automation, and an understanding of how DevOps processes influence product development.
* Experience in the banking domain.

**Purpose of the role**

**Accountabilities**
* Provision of subject matter expertise to support the collaboration between the product owner and the technical side of product development.
* Support the development and implementation of the product strategy and vision defined in the product roadmap and communicate them with the relevant stakeholders and the development team.
* Collaboration with internal stakeholders to gather and prioritise product requirements and features based on business value and feasibility that are well defined, measurable and secure.
* Development and implementation of assessments to ensure continuous testing and improvement of product quality and performance.
* Monitoring of product performance to identify opportunities for optimisation that meets the banks performance standards.
* Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies, to evaluate and adopt new approaches to improve product development and delivery.
