Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust is seeking to appoint a new Leader, to join the Senior Leadership Team of the Trust.
Job Description
Director of Learning Development: Teaching and Learning in the Curriculum, CPD, and Classroom Instrumental Lessons.
The post holder will lead on the strategy for supporting schools in their delivery of Curriculum Music teaching in schools, in addition to having shared responsibility for oversight of the work of the entire Trust, including its role as Music Hub Lead Organisation.
Anticipated start date: the beginning of the Summer Term, or during the Spring Term if available. Exact start date to be confirmed after interview.

Job Requirements
The post holder will be an experienced practitioner, used to managing and leading teams of people, and leading and managing initiatives. They will have knowledge and understanding of Music Hubs and their pivotal role in supporting Music Education.
Additionally, the post holder will be expected to retain an element of personal delivery in schools and be involved in the full life of the Hub Lead Organisation: Instrumental or Vocal teaching, work with County Ensembles, Saturday Music Centres, and the rich and varied work of the Northamptonshire and Rutland Music Hub.
Job Responsibilities
The post will include responsibility for:
* Supporting schools in the development of their School Music Development Plans
* Recruiting, supporting and liaising with Hub Lead Schools
* The devising and delivery of a CPD programme for NMPAT staff and school-based colleagues
* Leadership of the Classroom Instrumental Lesson programme (First Access)
* Oversight of induction of new staff, including any teacher trainees and Certificate of Music Education (CME) candidates
* Line management of members of the middle leadership team; Heads of Department, most likely to include the Curriculum Music Team and Early Years Team.
