Overview of the role:
Successful candidates will be a competent and proven Senior EC&I engineer, capable of producing, checking and facilitating designs, drawings, supporting calculations and technical documents (inc. Plans) with minimum supervision. They will have the ability to translate a client's requirements into a meaningful engineering and technical solution. Good communication skills and IT skills.
What you'll be responsible for:
* Maintain the Engineering Quality of the project delivery, ensuring compliance with client specifications and engineering standards and local domain policy and procedures.
* Assist in production of conceptual designs, optioneering studies, requirements capture, user requirements specification and use cases.
* Experience in designing for functional safety systems is desirable.
* Have experience of lifecycle and maturity management.
* Quickly self-deliver pragmatic systems solutions from a brief problem statement.
* Maintain compliance with Engineering Standards and applicable legislation.
* Participate in Design and System Level Reviews. Ensure that subsequent design meets the project and client requirements.
* Ensure the confidentiality and security of data and information received from clients is upheld.
* Ensure effective project delivery to time and cost.
* Support and mentor apprentices / graduates (where appropriate).
What you'll bring:
* Good working knowledge of EC&I principles, products and industry deliverables
* Must be able to obtain or hold suitable security clearance and be a British National
* Conversant with the Office 365 suite of software
* Plant process knowledge and experience
Nice to have:
* Ideally educated to degree/HND level in a relevant engineering discipline or relevant experience
* Additional certifications or qualifications in project management or a related field.
* Experience with specific industry software and tools.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in engineering projects.
* Experience working with international teams and projects.
