More recently moving into Food and Beverage outlets in Luton and Dublin Airports. Department Objective Drive Commercial Performance of the business. Supporting Business Development to secure new locations and drive the commercial performance of existing stores across the UK and Ireland. Overall Responsibility The primary purpose of this position is to provide the buying team with administrative support across all activities to ensure the smooth running of the department. As well as regular day to day activities, the position will support on regular project work. Key Areas of responsibility Support the commercial team as well as the MD with administrative functions/tasks as required and to deliver the business strategy and commercial targets Support planning and event coordination as required Create and update ranges as per the buyer negotiations (all categories) Create and update supplier details in the database (all categories) Liaising with suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth running of the department Own the database quality management process (template creation, supplier listing process, PLS tracker/calendar update etc.) Work closely with the store managers and their teams with regards to ranges/prices updates, promotions and any other relevant topic that could impact their stores. Send monthly sales reports to suppliers as per their agreement Manage and run reports for weekly trade meetings, performance analysis and supplier meetings Managing the process for credit notes and price discrepancies alongside the accounts department and raising invoices NRI and promo activity Monitor competitor activity with monthly price surveys and reports Working alongside the marketing team to support specific marketing activity Ensuring that new product launches are populated on the online platform alongside the marketing team Helping the buyers and buying manager with any ad hoc tasks and department queries Skills and Qualities Detail Oriented with excellent organisational and administrative skills Good IT / O365 skills – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook etc. Ability to work with Adobe products such as InDesign and Photoshop is a bonus Commercial awareness and ability to see the big picture Ability to work with multiple department managers and manage conflicting deadline Experience working in fast paced office environment ideally in a Buying role Excellent communication and attention to detail skill Ability to work to deadline and prioritise workload Passion for products and desire to learn about travel retail We believe an inclusive and diverse culture can help businesses and people thrive.
