Support Worker Needed – Hinckley
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable support worker to assist a 63-year-old gentleman living in Hinckley.
About the Role:
Hours: 6 hours per week, split over two sessions.
Interests: The gentleman enjoys walking football, going to the gym, and is passionate about all things football.
Condition: He has dementia and requires someone understanding and patient to support him in living actively and independently.

Duties
1. Provide personal care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
2. Support residents with mobility and heavy lifting as needed to ensure their safety and comfort.
3. Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring adherence to care plans and protocols.
4. Assist with first aid when necessary and respond appropriately to emergencies.
5. Engage residents in social activities and promote their mental well-being through companionship and conversation.
6. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff.
7. Drive residents to appointments or social outings as required, ensuring safe transportation.
Requirements
1. Previous experience in senior care, nursing homes, or assisted living environments is preferred but not essential.
2. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents.
3. Knowledge of first aid practices and medication administration is desirable.
4. Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for caring for others.
5. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for reporting and documentation purposes.
7. A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to individuals in need.
