A really rewarding position has become available for a Youth Mental Health Worker to work in a school in Maidenhead. This is an excellent position to gain valuable experience while making a huge difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
They place a huge focus on supporting students diagnosed with Autism and ensure they receive the necessary interventions to support their development and education.
As a Youth Mental Health Worker, you will be directly involved in helping children manage and cope with their emotions and mental health, regulate their emotions, and adopt healthy coping strategies.
Your day-to-day duties will involve:
1. Supporting and shadowing the class teacher.
2. Providing 1:1 support for SEN students.
3. Helping run exciting lessons to ensure the classroom is a fun and engaging place.
4. Behavioural management as needed.
Overall, this will be a transformative experience, enriching your life while making a positive impact on the lives of children who are struggling to cope in the classroom.
Experience working with vulnerable children is desirable but not essential. Those with a background in sports, art, or drama will also be at an advantage. Graduates in a relevant field will also be considered.

Salary: £80 - £95 per day
Type: Full-time (Mon - Fri)
