This will involve the interpretation of data and the need to present complex and sometimes sensitive or contentious information in a clear and understandable format. To work closely with teams and Managers to improve areas of performance, communicating the need for change and giving a clear vision of how this is to be achieved. To understand and be able to explain performance targets, which may be highly complex and specialist in their nature and communicate these in an understandable way to staff. To assist in the monitoring of CQUIN and Quality Schedule targets by liaising closely with the leads for these indicators and ensuring deadlines are met.Clinical Responsibility To support the Adult Mental Health services at team level in ensuring that key clinical targets are achieved and improved upon. To use Adult Mental Health EPR systems and interpret clinical data regarding performance targets.Leadership and Staff Management Responsibility To be responsible for the training and development of students/trainees and temporary staff or equivalent others. To give supervision to lower banded staff. To line manage unit administrators and outpatient administrators. Assist with the recruitment and development of new staff. Assist with induction / orientation plans to new staff.Service Development and Improvement To support the introduction of new information systems within the Trust. To take the lead in deciding and implementing relevant changes to own work area. To propose changes to working practices for own workarea and negotiate with others where other work areasare affected. To assist the team in research and development activities such as audit. To undertake surveys/audits of own work area as necessary To be aware of Trust targets and implement in own workarea as necessary. To take the lead in developing team performancemanagement systems producing data bases anddashboard styled reports. Analytical and Judgmental Skills To analyse complex performance data from a variety of different sources and present this in a clear and understandable manner. To identify potential breaches of performance indicators and inform relevant managers. To identify data quality issues and to work with the Adult Mental Health Service to improve. Planning and Organisational Skills To prioritise own workload according to importance and urgency of tasks.Physical Working Conditions and Environment Based in open-plan working area. Required to regularly visit Dacorum and St Albans MHS teams. Occasional Travel to other sites within HPFT.Information Resources To support the development and maintenance of the performance management framework involving high level skills in Microsoft Excel and other information systems as necessary. Analysis of data and interpretation of trends etc. Ability to reflect this graphically. To support the development of systems, improving and adapting existing reports and designing reports for use by Trust staff. Support the implementation of Data management systems and communication with staff.
