Position Title: Employment Coach Role Status: Full Time (6 Month FTC) Reports To: Business Manager Roles Reporting to this Position: None Primary Objective: In anticipation of increased referrals to the DWP funded contracts we deliver, we are inviting expressions of interest to our Employment Coach role, which supports participants progressing into work, whilst working in line with our organisational values. Key Relationships/Interactions Internal Employer Services Business Manager/SEC Central Services Peer Group External Local employers JCP Local provision for services Key Responsibilities As an Employment Coach, you will be supporting individuals to progress into their chosen career paths by providing advice, support and guidance through assessments and implementing tailored support plans. Working with participants face to face, you will coach and support their journey to employment by providing employability sessions, interview skills advice, and job search methods, while helping to rebuild participant confidence after unemployment and identifying interventions to remove barriers to employment. Maintaining participant records using the Jobs 22 CRM system and ensuring regular contact to keep participants motivated is essential. Familiarity with the local area labor market, training opportunities, and relevant support agencies is critical for success in this role. Desirable Skills/Knowledge and Experience Experience in providing one-to-one support or coaching and positively influencing other people's development. Experience in the employment and skills sector, delivering to specified targets and compliance measures. Using motivational techniques to manage the progression of participants into sustainable work. Empathy and the confidence to challenge participants as needed. Ability to handle complex cases while achieving targets. Organizational skills and effective time management. Excellent communication skills to motivate and inspire others. Influencing skills to gain buy-in from others. Understanding of the local and regional labor market. Practical understanding of recruitment and selection processes. Comfort with local travel and digital channels. Good administration and IT skills with MS Office experience. Desire to work creatively and pragmatically in a new organization.
