Main duties of the job We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Specialist Transformation Analyst with excellent technical and communication skills to join the Trust's Transformation Team. We provide accurate, timely and complex analytical support to the trust Transformation Progammes and Operational Teams, turning data into meaningful information that all aspects of the business (quality, access standards, productivity, activity) can utilise to make evidence-based decisions and drive improvements. As such, strong Excel skills, attention to detail and the ability to expertly interrogate relational databases using SQL is essential. Experience of Power BI is also desirable. Applicants should also be experienced in communicating with technical and non-technical colleagues and be able to cater analytical products to a wide range of audiences. Person specification Qualifications / Training Required Essential criteria Educated to masters level in a numerate discipline or able to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge, skills and experience within a health informatics environment, particularly Elective Pathways, e.g. at senior analyst/principal analyst level Healthcare informatics, analytics, data science or computing background. Evidence of continuing professional education in a relevant discipline, such as Health Informatics Previous or relevant experience necessary Essential criteria Able to demonstrate the successful use of software to process raw data, create complex reports and provide insightful outputs and visualisations Experience and expertise in information management and delivery Knowledge of NHS acute sector patient-based data and operational reporting requirements, specifically around the Elective pathways of RTT, Diagnostics and Outpatients Project management and implementation experience Demonstrable extensive experience of information analysis, reporting and statistics, including the use of Python, R, Power BI, SQL (MS SQL Server) and other data science tools Experience in Statistics use as an analytical tool at a high level Expertise and experience in dealing with identifiable data and commercially sensitive data Experience of leading service delivery to meet set timescales and deadlines In depth specialist experience working as an analyst or analytics lead within a health informatics environment, particularly Elective Pathways Experience of training people how to use software / systems / information Experience of information management and delivery within the acute hospital sector Experience with using national NHS datasets Proficiency in Power BI, Python, R or simulation software Values and behaviours Essential criteria Patients First Always Improving Working Together
