Social worker for First contact team completing assessments and carrying out S47 enquiries and taking to ICPC where required at which point children transferred to Long Term Team.
As a Social Worker within the Front Door Team, you will:
1. You will have experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment, ideally with direct experience of a front door/triage service.
2. You will have experience of working in a statutory child protection team and be confident and competent in your ability to safeguard and protect children.
3. You will always want to hear the child’s voice and ensure that this is taken into account.
4. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to You will be able to make decisions and recommendations in a fast paced environment
5. You will be able to contribute to the development of the service.
6. You will have a sound knowledge base of the Knowledge and Skills Statement for Child
7. Family Social Work and the application of Professional Capabilities Framework which will be embedded within all elements of your practice.
8. You will be empathetic and sensitive to the needs of children and families
9. You will understand the importance of performance information and your contribution to maintaining high standards.
10. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to convey complex messages in a straightforward way, both verbally and in writing.
11. You will not be afraid to think creatively to solve problems.
12. You will be passionate about maximising a child’s life chances to improve their overall outcomes.

As a Social Worker within the Front Door Team, you are required to:
14. Hold a Social Work England registration.
15. Be eligible to work in the UK.
16. Hold a full UK licence.
17. Social Work Qualification, degree or equivalent.
18. At least 2 years’ experience as a social worker within children’s services.
