The Role
As a Maintenance Assistant and Mini Bus Driver, you will be integral to the smooth running of our school sites.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor and respond to maintenance requests, performing minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
2. Replace lighting, paint, and decorate; ensure drains and gutters are clear.
3. Test emergency lighting and alarms, reporting defects.
4. Maintain school grounds, ensuring a tidy and safe environment.
5. Move furniture and equipment for school events; assist with deliveries.
6. Maintain and prepare sports facilities (e.g., marking pitches).
7. Transport pupils and staff between sites and maintain minibuses (if licensed).
8. Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, reporting hazards and promoting safe practices.

About you:
Our ideal candidate will be a reliable and professional team player with a hands-on approach to work. You will have:
1. Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
2. Full clean driving licence (D1/PSV licence desirable or willingness to train).
3. Skilled in DIY, plumbing, and minor electrical work.
4. Knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g., COSHH, fire safety).
5. Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and adapt under pressure.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children.
