Primary Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Supplier Claims Controller is to manage and resolve claims related to warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring compliance and smooth product movement. This includes coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to address non-conformities, implement corrective actions, and recover costs. The role focuses on enhancing vendor quality and providing timely updates to stakeholders to maintain high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate Supplier Relations: Act as the primary contact for suppliers regarding quality, technical issues, and non-conformities, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders.
2. Handle Non-Conformity Resolution: Lead the full non-conformity process, including root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and overseeing cost recovery.
3. Manage and Resolve Claims: Oversee the end-to-end claims process for warehouse and logistics, including initiating, following up, and closing claims.
4. Enhance Quality Control: Implement corrective actions that enhance vendor quality, aiming to minimise costs related to non-conformity and blocked stock.
5. Drive Process Improvement: Support cross-divisional initiatives, providing insights to improve product drawings, specifications, and tools for improved quality control.
6. Ensure Compliance: Monitor and enforce Import and Export regulations, coordinating with compliance teams to maintain all necessary documentation.
7. Communicate with Stakeholders: Keep internal and external stakeholders updated, particularly in cases of delays, and work together to find solutions.
8. Maintain SAP Documentation: Ensure all claims, actions, and follow-ups are thoroughly documented in SAP for accurate tracking and transparency.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Qualifications: Engineering degree or equivalent experience in a technical, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
2. Supplier Quality Engineering: Background in supplier quality engineering, parts coordination, or similar role with some technical proficiency is beneficial.
3. Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of product conformity, non-conformity, and the technical aspects behind them and the ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.
4. Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously track goods at all stages, ensuring no gaps in processes.
5. Analytical & Solution-Oriented: Proactive approach to problem-solving and implementing corrective actions.
6. ERP System Familiarity: Working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems is essential.
