VANRATH is thrilled to partner with a long-standing client in Newry to recruit an experienced Assistant Accountant. Key responsibilities: - Aid in the preparation of monthly management accounts and associated reports. - Manage the general ledger, ensuring proper reconciliation of ledger accounts. - Oversee and reconcile company bank accounts. - Contribute to the upkeep of the fixed asset register. - Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and related documentation. - Participate in the development of the annual financial budget. - Reconcile and analyse key balance sheet accounts. - Provide support for additional financial tasks as needed. Essential Criteria: - At least 2 years of experience in a finance-related role. - Demonstrated experience in assisting with the creation of management accounts. - Proficiency in maintaining the general ledger and account reconciliation. - Experience in managing and reconciling company bank accounts, including balance sheet analysis. - Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel.
