Senior Social Worker - Children Looked After & Leaving Care
Our Client Tower Hamlets is looking for a Senior Social Worker to join their Children Looked After & Leaving Care Team.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare court reports for care proceedings.
2. Prepare care plans for children and young persons.
3. Attend Child Looked After reviews.
4. Complete single assessments of parents and the potential risk to their child/children.
5. Work with parents with mental health issues, substance misuse, and domestic violence.
6. Work with children and families with learning disabilities.
7. Conduct Section 47 investigations.
8. Carry out duty work; making referrals and assessments.
9. Work with diversity.
10. Actively contribute to team working, supporting colleagues, and participating in team meetings.
11. Participate in strategy meetings with other professionals.
12. Attend and chair placement planning meetings for looked after children.
13. Prepare, monitor, and review care packages for looked after children.
14. Organise and chair Child in Need agreement meetings with other professionals.
15. Attend and contribute to various multi-disciplinary meetings including Child Protection Conferences, Child in Need Meetings, and Pre-proceedings meetings under the Public Law Outline.
