Hobbits Holt is a 24/7 residential care facility providing support to 6 individuals.
This role involves 30 hours on the floor and 7.5 hours supernumerary, including evenings and weekends.
As a Deputy Manager, you will be confident enough to make autonomous decisions while collaborating as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You should have significant previous Deputy Manager experience and demonstrate true commitment to your personal development and the development of your wider team.
You will be caring, professional, reliable, and able to build solid working relationships.
To be a Deputy Manager, you must be flexible and have experience in leading a team, as well as demonstrate knowledge of supporting people in a proactive, person-centered way. You will need the experience and confidence to deal with Mental Health and non-verbal individuals.
Your responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the Home Manager in ensuring that the home is maintained in accordance with regulatory bodies.
2. Line managing the senior team to ensure high standards of care and service are achieved within the home to regulatory standards.
3. Supporting the Home Manager in managing resources to maximize sales and profits.
4. Supporting residents to live as independently as possible (including personal care).
5. Acting as a senior member of staff on shift and confidently supporting our residents and staff team.
6. Building and maintaining lasting relationships with residents and their families.
7. Taking residents out for activities such as walking, visiting local cafes, lunch clubs, coffee mornings, singing groups, and outdoor parks and gardens.
8. Driving residents for longer day trips and events.
9. Contributing to the on-call rota and working a varied shift pattern.
10. Working with a great team.
