Head of Solutions Architecture

Our client is undergoing a significant change and digital transformation programme; implementing new technologies and refining its business processes to ensure they’re futureproofed and can continue to adapt and succeed in their evolving industry.
It’s highly complex and challenging work that intersects with every aspect of the organization. And with the programme now entering a critical phase, they are seeking a Head of Solutions Architecture to take ownership of the technical design for their future-state systems, while driving continuous improvement.
As an influential and senior figure within the technical team, you will manage a range of stakeholders in what is a highly complex, multi-vendor environment. Furthermore, you will balance line and matrix management, nurturing a team of architecture, integration, and testing specialists, and deliver cutting-edge technical solutions that propel the business to even greater levels of efficiency and commercial success.
Prior experience in logistics, shipping, transportation, oil & gas, and utilities will be considered favourably.
Responsibilities
* Expert knowledge of Solutions Architecture, Business Architecture and Application Architecture, and currently operate in a role in which you have oversight of all 3 disciplines.
* A track record of overseeing the design of new technical solutions that align with strategic objectives and create a measurable business impact.
* Have served as a senior leader for a team of architects and other technical individuals, balancing both line and matrix management responsibilities.
* You excel at creating high-level solution designs that are data-driven, scalable and flexible, and can effectively communicate these to Technical Solution Designers and Business Analysts.
* Exceptional communication skills generally, capable of aligning diverse teams and influencing senior business stakeholders.
* Proven experience with ERP implementation and integration projects.
* Strong ability to introduce process standardisation and change, while supporting business needs.
* Previously managed third party technology suppliers and partners.
