Role Responsibilities
As the Year 6 Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in preparing students for their transition to secondary school while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Key responsibilities include:
1. Planning & Teaching: Collaborate with your job share partner to prepare and deliver inclusive, differentiated lessons using the school’s curriculum.
2. Classroom Excellence: Foster high standards of achievement and behaviour in a stimulating learning environment.
3. Assessment & Reporting: Track pupil progress, prepare termly updates, and deliver end-of-year reports. Participate in parent evenings and communicate regularly with parents/guardians.
4. Team Collaboration: Work alongside your parallel class teacher to share resources, strategies, and ideas.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and completion of your induction year(s).
2. Recent experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6.
3. A passion for creating engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
4. Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
