Are you an experienced social worker who wants to get into fostering, but opportunities are limited in your current role?
Leaders in Care are working in partnership with Gloucestershire County Council, for an experienced practitioner to join their well-established Fostering service as a Supervising Social Worker. This will be a fixed term contract / secondment until September 2025, giving you a great opportunity to get into Fostering, with the possibility of making it permanent should you wish.
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will be responsible for supporting and managing approved foster carers, providing professional advice when necessary, and contributing to business planning. Additionally, you will supervise Support Workers and Social Work Students.
Benefits include a generous salary of up to £45,718, along with regular learning and development opportunities to ensure you are developing as a practitioner while providing the best care for all involved in the service.
This role also offers a flexible working schedule, allowing you to maintain a great work-life balance. You will be supported by the engaged and approachable senior management team, who will make you feel at home in their already close-knit service from day one.
For this role, you require a social work qualification & registration to Social Work England.
