Hamtun Ward is a 10 bedded Male inpatient ward serving the Southampton area. We promote nurses to have a powerful voice within MDT with a continuous drive for improvement by staff. There will be support and leadership guidance from a clinical nurse lead and ward manager.
Hamtun Ward has a reflective culture to enable the team to work in synergy and enhance decision making. All staff are offered bespoke training, ensuring staff have the required skills and knowledge to provide the highest standards of care. The ward's ethos focuses on staff's wellbeing and professional development, ensuring ongoing professional development while delivering the highest quality care.
Main duties of the job
To help our staff thrive in their roles, we will offer regular, good quality supervision, appraisals, bespoke training, and development opportunities. On the ward, there will be complex case discussions and reflective practice. This will aid you in your professional development, support in decision making, and formulating care plans for complex needs.
This is an excellent and exciting opportunity for the right candidate to become involved in the continuous development of a proactive and forward-thinking team. The post holder will be an expert practitioner and a source of expert advice. Are you an experienced band 5, with sound clinical knowledge who conducts themselves as a positive role model leading by example? Are you already practicing as a charge nurse who demonstrates personal integrity, with high clinical standards, and is looking to further develop professionally or take on a new challenge?

* Registered Mental Health Nurse Qualification
* Literacy and Numeracy skills
Experience
* In-depth post-qualification experience of working in an acute mental health setting
* Experience of working in a Charge Nurse role
