The Role
As a Senior Finance Administrator, you will be an integral part of our finance team based at our Avonmouth location. You will lead and develop the Finance Administrator while being involved in a diverse range of activities crucial to the smooth operation of our accounts administration office.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage Financial Transactions: Conduct daily bank postings and reconciliations, maintaining precise records.
2. Warranty Coordination: Working closely with colleagues to manage customer account activity related to warranty claims.
3. Credit Control: Managing customer and vehicle accounts to achieve targets and meeting deadlines.
4. Assist in Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Support in the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
5. Management Accounts Preparation: Assist in the preparation of management accounts, providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making.
6. Lead and Develop the Finance Administrator: Provide guidance, support and coaching to the Finance Administrator to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial processes. Assume responsibility of the Finance Administrator duties when necessary, ensuring continuity and the smooth operation of the finance function.
7. Establishing Relationships: Building strong working relationships with both customers and suppliers.
8. Operational Colleague Collaboration: Working with operational colleagues on focused tasks when required.
9. Ad Hoc Admin Duties: Tackling one-off administrative tasks as they arise.
10. Project Support: Assisting senior finance staff in various projects aimed at enhancing reporting capabilities and overall efficiency for the finance team and the wider business.

1. A minimum of 4 years of experience in similar roles, preferably in the automotive sector.
2. GCSE minimum grade C in Maths and English.
3. A Level or similar accountancy qualification would be advantageous.
4. Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
5. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. An organised and proactive approach with autonomous workload management capabilities.
7. A confident and resilient disposition.
8. Prior familiarity with accounting software or similar would be advantageous.
