Job description
Job Title: Logistics Operator
Duration: Minimum 3-4 months with potential for extension based on volumes
Position Overview: Our client is seeking a Logistics Operator to join their team in a busy factory environment. The role involves a variety of basic stores duties including picking, cutting, loading, servicing packing machines using a forklift truck, and other related tasks. The position requires individuals who are detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform basic stores duties such as picking, cutting, loading, and servicing packing machines.
2. Operate a forklift truck safely and efficiently.
3. Maintain clear handwriting and ensure accuracy in number transfer.
4. Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the work area.
5. Demonstrate good hand-eye coordination and observation skills.
6. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
7. Work with a methodical but fast approach, ensuring quality and avoiding cutting corners.
8. Utilise hand-held scanners for inventory management.
9. Be adaptable and flexible to work on a rotating shift pattern.
Requirements:
10. Clear handwriting and accuracy in number transfer.
11. High standard of housekeeping.
12. Good hand-eye coordination and observation skills.
13. Safety-conscious with a methodical yet efficient approach.
14. Attention to detail and quality-driven mindset.
15. Flexibility and versatility to work in a fast-paced environment.
16. Experience with hand-held scanners is preferred.
17. PC literate.
18. Possess a valid Counter Balance Forklift license and demonstrate previous professional experience using it.
Shift:
19. 4 on/4 off 12-hour shift pattern (Days and Nights)
Pay:
20. £15.79 per hour inclusive of shift premium
MIT:
21. Counter Balance forklift license
