Job Description Job Title: Health and Safety Consultant - Construction Projects Location: Bristol, United Kingdom Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (depending on experience) About Us: A leading construction management firm with a strong health and safety outlook are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Consultant to join the team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to contribute to the success of many construction projects. Responsibilities: Risk Assessment and Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments for construction projects, identifying potential hazards and implementing effective risk management strategies. Develop and review method statements to ensure safe working practices are followed. Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with local, national, and industry standards. Advise project teams on necessary adjustments to align with regulatory requirements. Produce F10 documents for HSE Acting as CDM Advisor to Clients Training and Education: Provide health and safety training to construction personnel, fostering a culture of safety awareness and responsibility. Collaborate with project managers to ensure all team members are adequately trained on safety protocols. Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to identify and rectify potential hazards promptly. Collaborate with site managers to implement safety measures and ensure compliance. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain comprehensive health and safety documentation, including reports, records, and statistics. Regularly update project stakeholders on safety performance and milestones. Ample knowledge of excel and word Emergency Response Planning: Develop and review emergency response plans, ensuring the readiness of teams to handle unforeseen incidents effectively. Collaborate with local emergency services to enhance on-site emergency preparedness. Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience as a Health and Safety Consultant in the construction industry NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) certification or equivalent. Member of the Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) Member of the Association of Project Safety (IMaPS/CMaPS) (optional) In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Proficient in using relevant software for documentation and reporting.
