We have a unique development opportunity for someone to find out what it takes to become a Supervisor in Kendal Day Services.
A temporary position has come available for the right candidate to join an enthusiastic, friendly, and committed management team who strive to achieve positive outcomes and deliver quality services to support adults with learning disabilities.
This 12-month position will give you increased knowledge, skills, and experience in all aspects of a Supervisory Role within Care Services.
The Role
As a supervisor, you will ensure positive leadership and engagement, providing high-quality day-to-day services for our service users while developing the staff team to ensure they are progressed to their full potential. The position will require working in partnership, managing risks, and developing and promoting a person-centred quality service for individual service users. You will be expected to ensure accurate service user records and health and safety compliance.
You will gain experience in line managing teams of front-line workers who are providing support and care to service users with profound and complex care needs, as well as gathering experience of the service as a whole.
Who we are looking for
The right candidate will be compassionate, proactive, and have experience of working in a person-centred role, ideally with learning disabilities. You will work closely with the Locality Manager and current Supervisor Team to continue to develop and provide support for our service users while ensuring statutory requirements and national initiatives are met. You will have a positive, flexible approach and will be a strong communicator promoting teamwork and ensuring clarity of purpose within the full staff team.
You will receive a full induction and training, and regular support and 1:1s with management. We are looking for someone to join our friendly and dedicated team, making a direct and positive impact on the lives of people who require support to access day opportunities.
