Job overview
The Paediatric Day Surgery unit is looking to recruit a registered Paediatric nurse to join the team, delivering care to patients attending for day surgery, from pre-assessment, admission, through to discharge.
You should be a motivated, dynamic, and caring registered practitioner who can demonstrate a high standard of clinical practice. Excellent communication and team working qualities are essential, along with a willingness to learn new skills. You should thrive in a busy environment and be passionate about delivering high standards of care. We welcome individuals with an enthusiastic approach to teaching students and junior members of staff.
Support and training will be provided to develop skills in all areas of the day surgery service.

Working within the pre-assessment, admission and discharge areas, recovery area, and theatres, you will deliver high-quality care to our patient group.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The responsibility of the registered practitioner/nurse is to work as a member of the multidisciplinary perioperative team, practising a high standard of clinical care and participating in all activities of the department to enhance the patient's experience. The post holder will work flexibly alongside team members to meet the needs of the service. Responsibilities include the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care during their span of duty.

* Prior experience in Day Surgery/Surgical Care/Recovery/Theatres
